The traditional frames address the scrutinisation of the Asian diaspora. The Monster rejects the oriental gaze, articulates the shifting notion of culture; 1980s Karman Rider, Scooby-Doo, and Hermes. The flowing Chinese cooking wine (centre) is a common cooking ingredient experienced by many beyond its origin; this references the presence and integration of Chinese culture within western society.
